Well… thats the title of my latest song – the one thats been taking up all of my time of late!
So far, the song has not been heard by the general public – I’m awaiting tweaking and mastering, and the video is all but done – just waiting on some minor edits – that seem to be taking forever – and of course the mastered track. In writing the song, well, I have to say on the surface it might look like one thing, but it really is deeper than that… but before I start explaining –I will leave it to you to decide when you actually get to hear the song. In making the video… well….
Now anyone who actually knows me personally will know this and probably confirm when I say I am far from ‘easy to please’… LOL!!
I hate to admit, I have loads of hangups and standards, and issues and ideas and the whole nine yards! I’m pretty old fashioned on a lot of fronts, and believe it or not I’m quite shy… but I think its this – “if you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything“. hmph! truth is I’ve fallen for my fair share of “anything” but before I digress… back to being easy to please – or not…
The other ladies in the band I sing for will testify that I am very finicky. I like things “just so”. Everything has to be the way I like it. Every performance is like my first or my last – from top to toe, its the same every time – I need my dress to hang “just so”, my shoes to be pristine, and my false eyelashes to be flawless. and thats every single performance. This past year I have performed more than 80 times at all kinds of places – from weddings, to 70th / 40th birthdays, to butlins, to haven holiday parks, to wilton hall and back – all over the country…. and it has to be the same everytime. Is it bad to be finicky about what you want and about your self presentation? I dont know… but that does spill over into my personal life and that is the theme of my song “Easy to Please”…
